God has been so good to me! I thank him everyday for just loving me unconditinally and being a forgiving God.

When I first got to the Elkhart County Jail, I was a broken soul. I truly felt like the world was against me and my back was against the wall. I literally felt like my life was over until I started reading the Bible that the Jail Ministry blessed me with.

I look back and remember days when I just felt like I didn't want to live. But guess what: God brought me out of that dark place. I started to see light at the end of the tunnel. I started going to all the Bible studies I could because I knew that theh only one who could save me was God. I simply needed that fellowship with other believers who were strong in their faith.

During that time I met a lot of beautiful, loving inspiring women who loved the Lord like I wanted to love the Lord. There was something about the way they spoke of God and the relationship they shared with him that made me want to build a relationship of my own with him.

Since that time, I've grown so much, and today I can tell you I have that awesome relationship I was desiring with God. He has been my rock when I was weak and too tired to keep pushing forward. He gave me the strength I needed. He's given me life and shown me that I do have a purpose in this life, no matter where I am, and that purpose is to serve him!

I thank God for blessing me with the Jail Minsitry! They have given me the tools I need to look toward the Lord, and even when times get rough, to continue to have faith, love and trust in him.

To everyone who's reading this: just know when you go through tough times, God is with you, and they'll only last a short while. It shall pass. All glory to God!
