Growing up, I believed in God. I went to church every week. I was so faithful to God growing up. But as I got older, I didn’t attend church like I should have. And as life kept throwing me curve balls, well, I guess you could say I lost my faith in God. I drifted away from him and everything I believed in. I started using meth, and on September 26, 2023, I was pulled over, and my boyfriend and I went to jail. I got arrested for possession of meth.

During my stay in County I met chaplains with the Jail Ministry, and I realized how much I’ve needed God in my life. I’ve thought about how I came to this place in my life. The Jail Ministry was there for me, and helped me get on the right path.

And now I’m in Work Release, and the Jail Ministry has been AMAZING every step of the way through my incarceration. And I have found my way back to God. I couldn’t have done this on my own. The Jail Ministry is always there to lend a hand to those who have had a rough go in life, and they inspire me to beat the odds as an addict and become a better person. With them, I have become a better person all the way around.

I’ve never seen any organization jump right in and help people who have been incarcerated - from the support of the Holy Alliance group to bike vouchers to clothing, and even paying for therapy.

I’ve changed my ways, and I am so grateful for the help of the Jail Ministry. Teri
