Jesus spent much of His time on earth with outcasts, extending grace, love and mercy to people for whom society had lost all hope.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think…” ~ Romans 12:2
With the help of volunteers, churches and Assistant Chaplains, the mission of the Elkhart County Jail Ministry is to spend time with the people that Jesus spent time with, sharing the freedom found in Christ.

The Elkhart County Jail Ministry shares the Good News to people incarcerated inside the Elkhart County Jail through various programs, Bible studies, and book clubs. The Elkhart County Jail Ministry also organizes ministry inside the Elkhart County Work Release Center, operates eight reentry homes in Elkhart County, and offers tattoo removal services inside and outside the jail.

The Elkhart County Jail Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization funded solely through the generous donations of local churches, individuals and businesses.
